INVESTIGATIVE CONSULTATION
Forensic Hypnosis
Forensic
Hypnosis is the use of hypnosis to explore memory for investigative purposes. Information
obtained hypnotically is of unknown validity and must be independently corroborated to
have probative value. Professional staff of the firm who employ this technique hold
credentials to include being either hypnosis consultants with certification of the
American Society of Clinical Hypnosis or are Diplomates of the American Board of
Psychological Hypnosis or American Board of Medical Hypnosis. All forensic hypnosis
services conform to the guidelines for using hypnosis for investigative and forensic
purposes of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Our staff routinely conducts
hypnotic inquiry on behalf of litigants and law enforcement agencies, to include the
Federal Bureau of Investigation and Departments of Treasury and Defense.
Psychological Profiling
Psychological
profiling is the analysis of crime facts and evidence to better understand how the crime
was performed and who was responsible. Effective profiling requires knowledge of criminal
mentality, behavior, and victimology. Further, it is necessary to involve other forms of
forensic evidence evaluation, and to have experienced predictive closure, demonstrating
the accuracy of analyses. The psychologists in our group involved in this activity have
successfully made analyses in thousands of cases, serving most Federal and many state and
local law enforcement agencies.
Threat
Assessment
Threat assessments
can be conducted to understand risks to people, facilities and from groups and
individuals. Our group involves a broad base of resources that span the range of stalking
crimes to international terrorism. If you have someone or some place that needs to be
protected, we can analyze the risks, sources and even arrange protection. Whether defining
security needs, installing monitoring equipment and physical barriers, or providing
bodyguards and armored vehicles, we can arrange whatever it takes. Together with our
strategic partners, we are globally at your service.
Psychological Autopsies
Psychological
autopsies examine a death or missing person circumstance to determine the likelihood of
suicide. These analyses incorporate crime scene, live events and psychological factors.
Law enforcement agencies request the procedure to aid in resolving equivocal cases, or
explaining the mode of death in significant cases. Forensic applications also include
analyses for investigative case development as well as formulation of defense. Tort cases
include applicability to life insurance coverage and accident liability.
Corporate Sabotage and Espionage
Corporate
sabotage and espionage range from acts of vandalism to compromise of essential
intellectual property or classified information. We know of no other group as well
prepared to investigate, analyze and deter these risks. Our interventions include a wide
range of investigative resources and protective capabilities. We are prepared to analyze
risk and assist in its management through personnel, investigative, physical security and
technical security measures that are to the highest standard of scientific and
professional quality. Let us assess your needs and prescribe ways to best ensure the
protection of your resources.
